Pre-conference tour

The pre-conference tour will start with a one-day visit to Cape Town which will include ascending the iconic Table Mountain via cable car and a guided tour of the world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens. The second day will include a road trip along the scenic Atlantic seaboard to the town Hermanus where we will take a boat trip and watch the Southern whales making their annual trip from Antarctica to the African east coast. An optional coastal hike and whale watching from the shore will be available for those who do not want to take the boat.  The last day will include a drive over the Drakenstein mountain range for a full-day safari and watching the big five at a local game reserve. An optional winelands tasting tour will be available for those who are wary of sharing their space with lions and elephants. Transport from Stellenbosch, meals, guides, and entrance fees included. Accommodation excluded. Feel free to contact us for our bad weather options and policy.
